In my later works similar principles are used to the earlier ones but now more obviously layered, often literally on separate layers of card. Thinking in layers came from using computers intensively to the exclusion of a brush for a four year period.
The landscape paintings have now filtered through to the most recent "winter" paintings where the work owes its existence to the "summer" expeditions on which it forms a commentary. The Vodňany sequence being an obvious example of this. (more)
